How do I sign up for events?
Key Club uses SignUp.com to arrange volunteer opportunities. Under the 'Service Opportunities' tab, there is a page for volunteer events which lists any upcoming projects available for Key Clubbers. To sign up for these events, click on the green "Sign Up" button and enter your email.
How many hours do I need?
Members will be required to have 100 hours by the end of their Senior Year. In order to be considered in "good standing," Key Clubbers must have a minimum of 25 actual service hours per year, to receive a stole by the end of senior year, you will need 100 hours. To qualify for a free stole senior year 120 hours is required.
Following the same procedure to sign up for events, go through the same steps and next to the sign up, click "My Spots" and then "Remove"
How do I unsign up for events?
General meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of every month but are subject to change. Keep an eye out for reminds!
When are general meetings?
When you go to a meeting you get an hour and meetings are a great way to have fun and be apart of key club!
Why should I go to the meetings?
You'll have one point deducted from your hour count. Please unsign up for any volunteer event that you can no longer attend at least 24 hours before the event!
Is there a consequence if I sign up to volunteer but don't show up?
LEDCON stands for leadership educational district conference. Martin Key Club is part of the Texas Oklahoma Key Club District and every year in April, Key Clubs from Texas and Oklahoma come together at a convention in Dallas for a weekend. At this convention, Key Clubbers are able to; Learn about being a leader, how to stay involved, fun ways to keep volunteering exciting and compete in contests. Convention is an experience that is recommended for Key Clubbers who want to learn about the roles above the club level or want to become an officer. Please contact the Club President or Sponsor if you have questions about LEDCON.
